Quick Check-in

Wow - 3 years since last post. Lots has changed since then. Will try to get back to it to post. Looking back at these older posts makes me nostalgic, so I know it's a good thing to do and to have. Time is a luxury these days, but we'll see. Will try to keep it in mind.

Little Fishy

Little Missy really starting to do it. This was a few years ago, but I was really proud of her. These are some of her first swimming strokes and also her first time really going under water.

Black-ish Recap: Andre from Marseille

Zoey tells her dad that she has a new boyfriend. His name is (of all names) Andre - point!, he plays basketball - point!, he's from France (like Tony Parker?) Point! This is great, then Andre sees Zoey's beau, and he's,,,white? Dad has a bit of a problem with it.

Bow convinces Dre to invite Andre from Marseille over to give him a chance.

El petit ami arrives and the menfolk are not feeling him. But our lady's love is charming the Johnson women, with magic tricks.

Daddy Andre goes to Zoey to put his foot down about the relationship, but learns he has broken up with her. Andre is not having that! Not for his baby girl. The Johnson men collect intel and go on a mission to find out the deal with (as they call him) Cordon Bleu (French Andre).

Dre wants to understand why Andre broke up with Zoey and Junior finds out that the French boyfriend thinks Zoey is shallow. Dre confides in his co-worker who helps him realize that the Zoey apple didn't fall far from the Dre tree.

Dre takes Zoey on a shopping trip to make her feel better and tells her, to her relief, that Andre broke up with her because she is shallow. This makes her feel better, because she thought he might have thought she was ugly or something else like that. Now that the world is back in order they continue shopping and both leave with fly new sunglasses.

There is some wonderful father/daughter bonding going on between Zoey and Andre and Zoey ends up dating Derrick, who is exactly like Andre, and he still doesn't like him. Bow helps Andre realize that it doesn't matter who Zoey dates, no one will be good enough for his baby girl in his eyes.

Andre actually comes around and ends up liking Derrick a bit too much and makes things awkward for the whole family.

Snow Day!!

Been a minute. Didn't end up doing the 365 thing on the blog, but I've taken lots of pics throughout the year. The little dude and little missy have definitely grown.

This is actually from last October, so they are actually even bigger than this, but I thought it was a cute pic of them together.

(Wanted to take a new pic, but my phone won't let me. Says storage is full even though I have deleted photos and deleted music. See? I have been taking pictures! Can't wait to get a new phone, no more HTC for me.)

Lazy Sunday

January 4th

Six months old today!

Feeding him cereal for the first time! His dad and Ms. Sumby have given him cereal from the bottle this past week, but this is my first time doing it and he is eating from the spoon. Good job little guy!

 

Cousins came to visit. Got Kamali in the pic!



January 3rd

So cold outside. Working from home today, so didn't clean off the car. Doesn't look too bad, but it's freezing out there! Highs in the 20's. Brrrr.
